April already!!

So, WOW! It's April...with May slowly sneaking up on us! :o)

My birthday is in May! The number one gift I'm crossing my fingers for - the new NOOK Tablet! Not going to hold my breath though as it is a little pricey! BUT, like I said on FB - if 20 friends just sent me $10 each - I could get it! Ha-ha!

Let's see, life is starting to get back to normal...training for work is over and my taxes are filed lol. Guess that means I can get back to reading books and writing reviews. I need to send out some penpal letters too! Ooooh another birthday wish, some postcards from my Amazon Wishlist!

Work related, the state department I work in is trying to go with "working from home" by the end of 2013 - wouldn't that be something!! I think that would be great...but would also require a lot of discipline. I'd love to work in my pajamas! But, we will see how that goes.

Tomorrow is Administrative Professionals day, with that being said...my workers mentioned to me that they would be taking me to lunch tomorrow. Pretty excited! What beats food!? FREE food! :o) I really didn't expect it...in fact I hadn't even known that it was AP day tomorrow! They also made mention of sweets!! If you know me, then you know I LOVE sweets!!

Home related, everything is doing good. My dogs are great...ugh but after multiple tries of getting rid of their fleas that seemed to be HORRIBLE all of a sudden - we went back to giving them Comfortis...and OH WOW!! After the Frontline, Pet Armor, BioSpot and others....nothing seemed to work. My sister took me to a vet in Houston that let me buy Comfortis without seeing my babies. Let me just say, I gave my babies that little pill and BAM after about 30minutes there were little to NO fleas! After an hour - they were no where to be found! I will NEVER give them anything else!

My husband is still coughing up horrible junk...after two attempts at different anitbiotics. We will have to make another trip to Houston to a doctor that (after a Bronchoscopy) can only tell us that it is NOT cancer related. I am very much glad that prayers were answered and it is not serious...but really...can we get an answer on what it ACTUALLY is??

Recently went to a friend's wedding in Houston - had an awesome time and the wedding was beautiful. I wish them all the luck and happiness in the world. I think those two will be ok...they seem really good for each other! I'm not sure why...but I never really cared for weddings before this one. I don't know...maybe I'm growing up and getting a little more girly! Who knows?!

Reading related - I'm currently reading, The Thin Woman by Dorothy Cannell. I'm only in about Chapter 1 - but so far so good. :o) Check it out on Goodreads, Amazon, or Itunes.

I recently finished reading, Roadside Assistance by Amy Clipston. Please check out her FB page. I'm currently working on my review for this book.  This book's info can also be found on Amazon and Goodreads. In fact, I won an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) on Goodreads! As with all my wins or books sent to me for free I try and read those first and get a review up as quick as I can. I started reading it as soon as I received it. (I get SUPER excited whenever I receive anything aside from junk mail or bills in my mailbox!) I finished it pretty quickly, but getting a review up online has been a little hectic.
