Book Review Policy

Thank you for your interest in having your book spotlighted on "Miscellaneous Maria".

I will review just about anything EXCEPT - self-help and erotica. However, my favorites are chick-lit, YA and Adult Fiction, and Biographies.

I typically cross-post my reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Paperbackswap. If you would like your review posted elsewhere, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

Please note - I do not read series out of order and please do not send me your pitch and ask me to purchase your book.

In accordance with FTC guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials for bloggers, I would like my readers to know that many of the books I review on my site are provided to me for free by the publisher or author of the book. The books are sent to me for an honest review, therefore my review may be positive or negative. I do not receive monetary compensation for writing a review. I will make known in such reviews if I received the book for free. If you have any questions, please contact me at miscmaria@hotmail.com.

I also purchase/buy books that I am interested in and will post reviews for those books here as well. .

I enjoy all book formats. E-books, hard copies (paperbacks and/or hardbacks), and ARCs. If you prefer to send your book in e-book format, I have a Nook Tablet. Please just be sure that your book comes in a format that is compatible with my device (EPUB).

I am also a supporter of independent writers.

However due to the space in my home, please note that once I read a book - I usually pass it on. 98% of the time it will be to the local nursing home as the residents there LOVE to read just about anything! 1%, I'm usually paying it forward to a friend or another book reviewer and the other 1% means I have absolutely fallen in love with the book and you will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. I've recently moved so I do have a slightly bigger space to house my love of books.

If a review needs to be posted by a certain date - please let me know when you email. I work full time and my TBR stack is growing. If a review is needed by a specific date, I may be able to push it ahead in the stack. I also reserve the right to not review a book on my blog if I do not finish the book.
